What to Do When You're Feeling Stuck
Jun 09, 2025
Ever thought to yourself, “I’m not even sure I like my business anymore”?
If it all disappeared tomorrow… I might actually feel relieved.
I got a DM from someone in our community recently that said just that. And while it made me sad, it also lit something up in me—because this is more common than we talk about, and I know there’s a way through.
In this episode of This Mother Means Business, I’m unpacking what to do when you’re feeling stuck, unsure, or just plain exhausted in your business.
Feeling Stuck Doesn’t Mean You’re Doing It Wrong
When a client or community member says, “I don’t think I like my business,” my first instinct isn’t to throw it all away—it’s to get curious.
Most of the time, it’s not that you hate the work.
It’s that the way you’ve structured your business isn’t working for you.
We dig into questions like:
- What does your perfect day look like if money wasn’t an issue?
- What parts of your business feel heavy, draining, or frustrating?
- Would you still do this work if it didn’t have to look the way it does right now?
So often, the issue isn’t your industry—it’s your business model.
The Hidden Costs of a Misaligned Business
Sometimes we end up building businesses that don’t support our lives. We’re:
- Overworked and underpaid
- Saying yes to everything
- Giving too much access
- Operating with zero boundaries
- Spending time on things that aren’t even CEO-level tasks
Sound familiar?
This isn’t about quitting—it’s about realigning. You get to rebuild.
Ask Yourself: What Would a CEO Do?
If you’re feeling stuck, here are a few CEO-level questions to consider:
- If I were truly leading like a CEO, what would I stop doing?
- What are the decisions I’m avoiding that would make the biggest difference?
- Where am I saying “yes” to things I don’t even care about?
I shared a story in the episode about an entrepreneur who was fielding texts from her team about which bracelet to include in a gift basket. Spoiler: she didn’t care—but her team thought she did.
This is the kind of micro-decision fatigue that drags you down.
You don’t have to be involved in everything. And when you free yourself from those tiny tasks, you get back time, clarity, and energy to grow your business in a way that works for you.
You’re Allowed to Change
You are allowed to pivot.
You’re allowed to want ease.
You’re allowed to outgrow the business you once loved.
If your business model isn’t aligned with the life you want, it’s okay to rebuild.
And no, it doesn’t have to happen overnight. Transitioning from 1:1 services to a more scalable model takes time, intention, and support. But it starts with clarity—and a decision that it’s time for something different.
Your Invitation
If you’re feeling stuck, my invitation to you is this:
💭 What would you change about your business if money weren’t an object?
💭 What tasks or structures no longer serve you?
💭 How can you begin shifting toward more alignment today?
Because the goal is not to survive your business.
The goal is to build a business that supports the life you want to live.
And if you need help figuring out what that looks like or how to get there—reach out.
