These 3 things aren’t coming with me into summer
Jun 16, 2025
Every summer, there’s this pressure to “slow down but still speed up.”
Rest, but also…launch. Be present, but don’t disappear.
And if you're a mom entrepreneur? Add sunscreen, snacks, and "I'm bored!" to the mix.
This summer? I’m not available for the chaos.
So instead of piling on more, I’m getting really clear on what I’m not doing.
Here are 3 things I’m saying no to this summer—and maybe you’ll want to add these to your list too:
1. Saying yes out of guilt.
If it’s not a “hell yes,” it’s a no.
No to last-minute calls. No to collabs that don’t align. No to overgiving just because I can.
Guilt doesn’t get to be my project manager anymore.
2. Building offers that drain me.
If it’s not lighting me up and helping my clients? I’m not offering it.
This season is about sustainable success—not slapping together something because “I should be selling something right now.”
3. Working to fill the space.
You know that weird pressure to do something just because the house is quiet or the calendar is open?
Yeah. That’s done.
Space isn’t a problem to solve—it’s a gift. And I plan to use mine wisely.
There’s a lot I am saying yes to this summer—margin, clarity, momentum that feels aligned—but it starts with cutting the things that no longer serve the version of me I’ve worked hard to become.
