There are a lot of things that have come up for me since breaking my leg.

 

If I'm honest, as I was laying on the road waiting for the paramedics to show up, I thought to myself "well, this isn't going to be good..."

 

And I wasn't just thinking about my physical recovery.

 

I knew a WAVE was coming. Of things I've been avoiding. Things I haven't addressed and just filled with work.

 

I knew I needed to slow down, but truly - breaking my leg was the universe's way of saying... well Laura, if you're not going to slow down - hold my beer.

 

I spent 8 weeks in a cast, and am still hobbling around trying to recover and build back strength in my leg.

 

Over those initial 8 weeks I looked at EVERYTHING.. and one of the earliest things to start screaming at me was where I was putting my energy.

 

It became apparent very quickly that some of the clients in my world were just not. a. fit.

 

And so... I ended those client relationships.

 

I wished them well, with so much love - and protected my energy in the process.

 

As business owners, we get to decide who we gets access to us, and even though I am in a business where I serve others I do need something back from my clients in order for me to remain in service of them.

 

I need their effort, their willingness, and their openness.

 

So, while I've got you - I want to share with you the new standard for my clients.

 

With love...do not come into my world if you are not willing to get uncomfortable - the work we do is powerful, and requires you to take a good hard look at the things you are doing or not doing. Where you are avoiding, and where you're playing small.

 

If you are not willing to get uncomfortable in these ways, I am not the mentor for you.

 

With love...do not come into my world unless you are ready to take action. I get it... you're busy... but it's not my job to to let you play small. When you're ready to move, I'm here to move with you.

 

If you aren't in a season of desiring growth in business and life and the action required that comes with it, do not invest your money in mentorship.

 

With love... do not come into my world if you're looking for immediate unicorn results. I am not a magic fairy. I cannot take you from earning $50k to $500k in overnight. I do not have a "one thing" you can do to fix your business. Every business, business owner, and offer is unique.

 

If you desire longevity in your business with someone who has been there, and is going to help you figure out how to build a multi-six figure business without sacrificing your sanity, we can do that - but its not going to happen in 3 months.

I encourage you to take stock of your standards for our clients in your business. Where are you sacrificing yourself unnecessarily? Where are you working with people who literally suck your energy dry?

 

If you have those people on your roster, your team, or in your world - set a boundary with them, or fire them. I promise you'll feel lighter because of it.

 

I know I do.
