I was recently a guest on a podcast, and during the interview the host asked me how I'm "always so confident."

 

I found this question interesting, because the truth is I'm not sure I'd use the word confident to describe myself.

 

...but then it really had me thinking.

 

When you see me, you probably see "confidence". You see a person that consistently sends you emails each week, shows up regularly on social media, and steps into what is possible day in and day out.

 

But the truth is, what you're actually seeing, is courage.

 

I am not that confident. But I'm brave. I'm willing to look stupid. Willing to make a mistake.

 

I think most of us as humans spend a lot of time waiting to be confident enough to do something.

 

To start the business, to hire the coach, to show your face online, to take the leap... but if you're waiting to feel confident you're going to be waiting a loooooooong time.

 

Harsh truth - you might not ever feel totally confident.

 

So stop waiting for something that may never show up - instead, choose courage.
