So long, 2024

This year was a wild combination of awful, hilarious, beautiful, terrifying, depressing, uplifting, victorious, and a whole bunch of other profanities I will just skip because I'm pretty sure you've got the picture.
If you had asked me at this time last year what 2024 was going to look like... I could not have pictured this.
The year had some amazing milestones:
- I officially launched the This Mother Means Business Community
- Our podcast reached women in 51 countries
- I spoke on stages
- I was a guest on over 52 podcasts
- I helped 5 women reach their first multi-6 figure year, and 8 women reach their first 6 figure year.
AND:
- I broke both bones in my lower leg
- I spent 4 months of the year in functional freeze
- In June I started polishing up my resume because my business was struggling post broken leg
- I went back into regular therapy after "graduating" last year
- I had the ego death to end all ego deaths
- I ended some relationships that weren't serving me
Most of all, this year has reminded me that the full picture is always messy.
Even in the social media world where people make it seem fantastic all the time - it's always messy.
There is duality in this journey that can't be ignored.
And while as I write you this email, from my walking pad (!!!) with fully healed legs, and a soul that's always working on healing, I celebrate it ALL.
There wouldn't be the good without the bad. There wouldn't be success without failure.
So, as I close out this year, which brought a little bit of everything my way, I am grateful.
Because these lessons - like ALL my lessons, will continue to get me closer to the version of myself I need to be to show up for myself, my goals, and my people the way they need me to.
Whatever this year brought you, I hope you can find the beauty (and even some gratitude) in it.
