Normalizing what's normal.
Nov 29, 2022
Sliding into your inbox with some things I think we need to normalize in business a little more...
...nothing about growing a business in linear. It is full of peaks and valleys. Highs and lows - and everything in between.
But there are things that show up time and time again in business that aren't really talked about, and can make you as a business owner feel like you're doing something wrong.
1. Rest.
We need to normalize taking breaks, and resting. You can't go 100 miles an hour 100% of the time. You NEED breaks.
I want my children to see their mom working hard, and going after her goals - but not at the expense of my mental health and time with them.
2.Being told no.
It is normal to be told no. A lot.
In fact, if you aren't being told no - chances are you aren't charging enough or you've solved a problem that everyone in the world has and you're a bagillionaire now.
No is necessary. I've been told no far more than I've been told yes - but I keep going despite them.
3.Making mistakes.
So many people don't take action because they're afraid of getting it wrong.
But... if you're not making mistakes you're probably not trying anything new.
Mistakes and entrepreneurship are like spaghetti and meatballs.
Mistakes are simply part of the process...
Rooting for you!
