An email arrived in my inbox this week with the subject line "How I made $25k in 5 minutes"
There's a lot of this messaging online, actually.
I mean, it's sexy, isn't it?
Here's the reframe so many people miss...
My business brought in $15k in cash in the first week of November and over $25k in sales.
It would be irresponsible of me to tell you that, and not also tell you...
I spent 6 months preparing for that week.
I have consistently showed up on social media for two years.
I've worked in marketing on and off for 15 years.
I have been an entrepreneur for 8 years.
I've been on over 300 sales calls.
I've heard no more than I've heard yes.
Some of those sales were from people who have followed me for 6+ months, never commented on a single post I've made and never purchased a thing until that week.
So, sure... $15k cash is a GREAT week, but it wasn't really a week.
It was YEARS of practice, showing up, trying, failing, and trying again.
SO.
Next time you see a statement like "I had a $20k week" or a "$10k day"... remember, its never really that.
