Navigating The Time Warp

The first month of school is in full swing, and it's brought about some significant changes for me.
One of the biggest... is my daughter's school day is now quite a bit shorter than it used to be, which means... my work day is shorter too.
While I love entrepreneurship for the flexibility it provides in these moments, it has also been a bit jarring for me to realize all work needs to be done by 3:15.
If you've been following me for a bit, you know that I don't generally start my work day until 11, but that's had to change in order for me to still get everything I desire done in a day.
Maybe this is a juggling act you're familiar with too?
If you're struggling to make time, here's some things that I've adjusted to make it all fit.
- Earlier workouts: One adjustment I've made is working out a bit earlier. When my partner is home, he does the drop off so I can use that time to exercise. My leisurely mornings of slow workouts + breakfasts aren't really an option (except for days I don't work) so I've had to adjust a few things.
- Prioritization: With less time in the morning, I've learned to prioritize tasks and set clear goals for the day. My to-do list is never going to get shorter, but I prioritize the three things that need to happen in a day, and as long as I do those three I'm good - everything else can wait.
- Delegating and Outsourcing: I recently doubled my VA's hours. Truth - I was doing way too much, so I've been really leading into her valuable support.
- Efficient Scheduling: Making use of calendars and scheduling tools has become my best friend (once I hired someone to figure out the tech for me because I am nottttt tech savvy!)
As parents and entrepreneurs, we wear many hats and manage multiple responsibilities. I'm sure you have your own strategies for making the most of your time, and I'd love to hear about them.
