Last week was magical.

 

In case you missed it, I hosted a retreat for 8 women in an amazing home on the waterfront not too far from my home.

 

The moment I walked into the house, I knew the energy was special. I don't know if it was the water or the anticipation, but I just knew.

 

One of the coolest parts of doing the retreat near home was that I was able to bring my kids with me the day before to set up.

 

With an online business there isn't much I can involve my kids in, but it was very rewarding to have them there and have them see what Mom has been up to. I'd like to think they were pretty proud.

 

If I were to recap every moment of the retreat, this would be the longest email of all time - but you better believe I'll be recording a podcast episode on it this week so you can catch up on all you missed.

 

The truth, when I spent thousands of dollars on a rental home in March - I made sure there was a really good cancellation policy.

 

I wasn't convinced anyone would come.

 

I was clearly wrong.

 

Not only did people come, people flew in from across North America, and showed up in their fullest belonging. We laughed, we cried, we bonded over our cute chef (HA!) - and honestly just held space for one and other in such a magical way.

 

They've all found their new sisterhood, and - because it felt good - we will be doing a check-in call in January to see how everyone is doing on the goals and plans they made, and I can't wait to see that.

 

We will do this again next year and I hope if it feels exciting for you, that you'll be there. I've already picked the spot. I don't have the dates or details yet, but I know it's going to be magical.

 

I've been lucky to create a lot of cool virtual spaces over the years, but there is a much bigger energy when we are in-person, and I will continue to foster those spaces as I build my online business too.
