I turned down a guaranteed sale, and here's why.
Mar 21, 2023
I was recently on a call with a potential client, and they asked me if I offered intensives, or in-person VIP days for strategy.
I could have say SURE! Because it probably would have closed the sale, but instead - I said no.
I don't offer intensives, and I don't offer in-person VIP days.
They asked me why, and so I told them...
They make me tired.
I am an introverted person, and in my business I have to protect my energy.
I'm good for about 4 hours in a row, and then I need a nap or to be alone to recharge. I simply could not show up in my full energy for 6+ hours and be proud of the work I'm doing.
I hung up from the call and was so freaking proud of myself for saying no.
Because the old me would have tried to make it work. To push myself beyond what I know I'm capable of...
So here's the lesson... you get to run your business YOUR WAY.
No one gets to tell you what you should or shouldn't offer if it doesn't feel good for you.
My business coach has 21 private clients. I love and respect them so much, but I could never run my business this way.
I don't want 21 private clients! I don't have enough energy that many people.
Does that mean my business coach runs a better than me? No.
It just means its different - they're an extrovert, and I am not. Extroverts get more energy from being with other people, Introverts get more tired.
It doesn't mean I can't show up and absolutely pour into my people (cause if you've been in my world, you know I do!)... it just means my business - my way.
