conquering the fear of showing up.

entrepreneurship marketing Apr 09, 2024
If you told 2019 me that I'd be growing my business on social media and showing my face everyday on Instagram I'd call you a liar straight to your face...

...because there was no way that version of myself would have.

I was terrified.

Showing up, be it for your business, your community, or even for yourself, is a monumental step towards actualizing your dreams.

But, it's often easier said than done.

The fear of judgment, failure, or not being enough can be paralyzing (I know this first hand).

But here's the thing – every successful entrepreneur has faced this fear at one point or another. What separates them from the rest is not the absence of fear, but the courage to move forward despite it.

Moving through fear of showing up comes down to understanding a few things - (and yes, there is actually a formula for this!)

  1. Understanding the root cause. Is it the fear of failure, criticism, or perhaps imposter syndrome? Identifying the root cause can help you address it more effectively.
  2. Leaning into vulnerability as a superpower. Letting people get to know you is liberating. It will also help them connect to you on a deeper level.
  3. Take small steps for big impact. Begin with small acts of bravery. Maybe it's a social media post sharing your story or attending a networking event. Small victories pave the way for greater confidence.
  4. Celebrate every win. Acknowledge and celebrate every time you show up, regardless of the outcome. This positive reinforcement builds momentum and reshapes your relationship with fear.
  5. Seek support. Surround yourself with a supportive community that uplifts and encourages you. Whether it's mentors, peers, or friends, lean on your network for courage and inspiration.

So, let's embrace the fear together.

Show up for yourself, your dreams, and the people you serve.

The world is waiting.
